This program allows your pharmacist to provide you with private, personalized consultations, so that your time together is spent talking about your specific needs and questions.
Did you know that the average visit with a doctor lasts only 7 minutes? During your Live Well Consultation, your Pharmasave pharmacist will spend about 20 minutes with you to:
- help you get the most out of your medications
- better understand your medical conditions
- address your health concerns and questions
- work with you to create a plan for better overall health
Let's Talk About You
The motto for our Live Well Consultation Program is "Let's Talk About You," which means that you are the main focus of the consultation with your pharmacist. For instance, you may have questions about your medications, how to manage your health conditions, or how to find ways to incorporate lifestyle changes into your health plan. If you aren't sure where to begin, that's okay too - your pharmacist will be able to suggest a number of approaches to help you get started on the path to improved health. Finally - here is a program that you can design with your pharmacist to meet your priorities and goals!
Meeting regularly with your pharmacist through the Live Well Consultation Program and working with your physician and other health care providers, can help you take control of and improve your health. It's like having your own personal health consultant and a wellness program all rolled into one.

How will Live Well Consultations improve my health?
The path to good health is not something that happens overnight-it is a process that takes time. By investing the time to meet with your pharmacist regularly for Live Well Consultations, you reap the benefits of having a well-informed and supportive health coach to help you meet your health goals. Along the way, there is always the possibility of running into challenges; through this program, your pharmacist is easily accessible to you and ready to provide you with the guidance
and support you need.
What are some of the things my pharmacist and I could talk about and do in a Live Well Consultation?
Your pharmacist's main goal is to address your questions and concerns. You decide what information you need or what needs to be done during your appointment. However, your pharmacist can also help guide the consultation if you just want to explore the many options you could pursue for better health. Here are some common elements that could be a part of your consultation:
- assessing risk factors for certain medical conditions and charting your progress on reducing modifiable risks over time
- helping you understand how to use your medications and get the most benefit from them
- reviewing your medications and medical condition history
- taking measurements such as blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol levels
- reviewing and creating a personal plan for lifestyle goals in areas such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, etc.
- reviewing educational materials and addressing any specific questions
- receiving encouragement and assistance with goal setting

Is my doctor a part of the program?
We believe in working with other health care professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to managing your health needs. As part of your community-based health care team, and with your consent, we would be happy to provide your doctor with a summary of your consultations. Our goal is to work with your other health care providers so that all of your health needs are met.
